JMP is used in the statistics/mathematics fields and in any research, administration or field of study in which interpretation of statistics is necessary. From JMP’s website: “JMP software brings comprehensive visual data analysis to the desktop – software that dynamically links statistics with graphics, empowering you to explore your data interactively."

JMP Licenses

License Subscription Information for 2009 - 2010

JMP license subscriptions are for an annual term beginning April 15, 2009 and ending April 14, 2010.

Licenses are not perpetual and expire. Continued use will require either a renewal or new license purchase each year.

Licenses are for UC Berkeley Faculty, Staff, Student involved in academic or research endeavors. Licenses must be purchase with university funds. Software may be installed on both U.C. owned equipment as well as on personal equipment by qualified licensees. For those using JMP on personal equipment, you must agree to a click-through Home Use Agreement at time of purchase.

Once you purchase a new license, you can renew it at a reduced renewal rate in subsequent years during a 60-day renewal window of April 2009 through May 2009. If you do not renew your license during the renewal window, you will need to purchase a new license.

The Primary Contact for JMP licenses will be sent renewal information each year. It is important that you choose your Primary Contact carefully. It is recommended that students, temporary staff, and visiting scholars *not* be named as the Primary Contact for departmental purchases of the JMP license.

New License Subscription

Allows usage of the software from the date of purchase to the end of the license term through April 14, 2008. Includes maintenance on the subscription, which includes access to tech support as well as product and version upgrades during the license term.
